Wheaton Montessori News
In a Montessori classroom children celebrate the accomplishments of others. These two girls feel a sense of personal triumph upon accomplishing a challenge that they assigned to themselves. They have, at the age of 4.5, gained the confidence and independence needed to choose their own work and plan for themselves. Younger children learn from this example. Look how this younger child has her arms open to joyfully join in on two girls celebrating their very hard chosen work of counting all of the short chains!
