Sewing has been a big part of our Primary classrooms in the past few years. This activity draws students in with brightly-colored threads, self-selected designs, and the promise of a finished product to take home to share. The activity helps children work on their attention, concentration, and fine motor skills. Patience and perseverance are huge skills learned through this activity.
These students in Mrs. Carrillo’s class have completed their embroidery patterns after hours of work, then turned them into three-dimensional ornaments to give to their parents.
