Elementary Geometry Lessons Build Upon Experiences in Primary


Several Early Elementary students borrowed primary material for superimposed figures.  These 2nd -3rd graders, who love compass drawings, used these materials to review  vocabulary for inscribed, circumscribed, concentric and tangential figures.  This led the students to further exploration to see how they could construct these relationships using elementary materials and compasses.  In short, geometry meets art.
