ELIZABETH BERDICK


Elizabeth Berdick is a Co-Founder & a Primary Teacher at Wheaton Montessori School.


Elizabeth taught for two years in the Los Angeles area public schools and has been teaching in Montessori schools for more than 30 years. She co-founded Wheaton Montessori School with her sister Rebecca Lingo, who is the Head of School, during the fall of 2000. Elizabeth has been a Primary Teacher at the school since.


Elizabeth has an undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Miami University in Ohio. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Master of Education from Claremont University in California. She obtained her AMI Primary Diploma from the Montessori Training Center of Minnesota.


Reflecting on her school years, she feels thankful to Mrs. Fife for teaching her how to write in cursive beautifully. When not in the classroom, you can find Elizabeth reading, cooking, and working out. She has four children, who have all graduated from Wheaton Montessori School. She lives with her family in Wheaton.
