AMY CHISTE


Amy Chiste is a Primary Teacher at Wheaton Montessori School.

 

Amy has taught Montessori for 30 years. She has been with Wheaton Montessori School since 2004. Beyond her teaching role, Amy has held various positions including admissions director, community director, and teacher for ballet and creative movement, drama, and sports skills at the school.

 

Her philosophy is about inspiring students through embracing curiosity and encouraging students to never give up. She also hopes children will develop a love of books and reading. 

 

Amy has an undergraduate degree in speech/theater/dance from Rowan University. She received her M.Ed. from Loyola University Maryland and an AMI diploma from the Phoenix, AZ training center. 

 

Both of her children attended Wheaton Montessori School. In her spare time, Amy enjoys music, reading, and watching hockey. She's also become an avid runner; you may see her running along the Fox River!
