Wheaton Montessori School

Admission Policy

Maria Montessori believed in the power of education to secure peace in the world.

Systemic racism, bigotry, hate, violence, and oppression have no place in the world.

Wheaton Montessori School remains committed to cultivating a community that values compassion, respect, integrity, and justice. Students must know that they matter; they must know that we care. We must communicate with children and students that racism has no place in this world. While these discussions can be difficult, they are necessary. Children will fill in the blanks of our silence to make sense of the world. Therefore, let’s thoughtfully and lovingly address these painful topics at age-appropriate levels.

We will do more to be allies and hear and support our Black students, neighbors, friends, and colleagues. We will work harder to eradicate bigotry in our communities. Every child deserves to be seen, valued, and heard, and we will work tirelessly to provide the very best education and community possible for all families, regardless of race.

Wheaton Montessori School welcomes all individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, national origin, age, marital status, sexual orientation, or disability. We value diversity at Wheaton Montessori and believe a diverse school enriches the educational experience for all.
