Upper Elementary Classroom (4th-6th Grade) October Accomplishments
Rebecca Lingo • November 10, 2023

Enjoy these scenes from the end of October of our happily engaged Upper Elementary community!  A beautiful ofrenda and gorgeous kites inspired by a Maya festival filled our classroom with love and color. Our new parakeet Uncle Feather had a visit to the vet, a group worked to create a Sierpinski pyramid, and students dove into reading, writing, and research.

We are all spreading love and friendship through these magical moments in our Upper Elementary classroom.

Meet the metal insets — a Montessori classic that builds the hand strength, control, and coordination children need before they ever write their first letter.
Two children build with blue blocks in a classroom; text reads “Wings, Blocks, and Your Child’s Mathematical Success.”

Geometry isn't just textbook formulas — it's everywhere! See how Montessori helps children discover shapes, patterns, and spatial thinking through hands-on exploration.
