The Chicks are Here!
In April, Mrs. Berdick's and Ms. Searcy's classes embarked on a very special project: hatching chicken eggs.
Each classroom had its own incubator with eggs. After approximately 21 days, Mrs. Berdick's class was the first to hear the "peep, peep" of a newly hatched chick. Between both classes, we ended up with four fluffy, yellow baby chicks! The chicks stayed with us for four days, during which time they visited all the classrooms. Then they went to live out their lives as farm pets.
